SHILLONG, Aug 7 - Two missing girl students from a school here were found yesterday evening loitering in the Old Delhi railway station.

The students aged eight and 10 years and studying in class IV in BSF Primary School here went missing on August 4. Two FIRs were filed regarding the missing children.

The girls were found in the railway station at about 4 pm on Saturday and have since been under the care of the BSF in New Delhi. The parents of the girls are on their way to the Union Capital to take charge of their daughters.

Officials said, the girls were first taken care of by an NGO and they would be handed over to their parents after proper medical check-up.

According to preliminary report, the girls boarded the Avadh Assam train to reach Delhi. However, it is baffling how they managed to reach there without adult supervision.

The BSF has come under criticism for the girls who reportedly went missing after attending their classes on Thursday. The school is in Nongmynsong inside the frontier headquarters of the BSF Meghalaya.
