DOOMDOOMA, Jan 1 � Two persons were killed and 32 others were hurt in three separate road mishaps that took place at Rupbon, Dhadum Pathar and Molan under Doomdooma PS today. In the first mishap three youths were riding a motorcycle, which hit the railing of Rupbon bridge and fell into the river around 2-30 pm. One of the motorcyclists named Sunu Koya (27) was killed on the spot, while two others named Mahananda Chetia and Lalan Duwarah were seriously injured. They were sent to Tinsukia Civil Hospital.
In another mishap, Pinku Chakraborty(40), an employee of Panikhowa TE was killed on the spot when he lost control over his scooter and fell on the road at Molan on NH-37 at 6 pm.
In the third mishap, a 407 bus turned turtle at Dhadum Pathar on NH-37 at 6 pm. The bus was carrying a picnic party from Dholla to Lakhipathar. The bus hit a stationary Maruti Alto car and turned turtle injuring its thirty passengers. Among them the condition of Sunita Chetry and Shiva Chetry was said to be critical.
