DIPHU, March 17 - Two candidates from Hill State Demand Council (HSDC) and one from Jan Congress filed their nomination papers here today before the Returning Officers at DC office, Diphu for the ensuing Assembly election.
Chomang Kro, the HSDC candidate from Howraghat constituency filed his nomination paper before the Returning Officer Rita Gogoi. He was accompanied by party leaders Welborne Kro and Dharamsing Teron.
The HSDC candidate from Diphu constituency Dr Jayanta Rongpi also filed his nomination papers before the Returning Officer and DC Mukul Gogoi.
After filing their nomination papers, they told mediapersons that HSDC is committed to work for the people.
As people want change, they were certain that the five seats from the twin hill districts of Karbi Anglong will be won by the HSDC. They reiterated that their main contest will be with the BJP and Congress.
On the other hand, Mary Kramsapi filed her candidature from Jan Congress, representing Diphu LA constituency. She filed her nomination papers before the Returning Officer, Diphu LAC. She was accompanied by party leaders Sunil Phangcho, Elbert Phangcho and district secretary of the party Honsing Tisso.
Tisso informed that the candidates of the party who will contest from three constituencies are � Mary Kramsapi (Diphu), Bikha Tokbi (Bokajan) and Dhonsing Hanse (Baithalangso).
