GUWAHATI, Nov 26 - Two major incidents of fire took place in the Goswami Service and Ulubari Kacharibasti (Barthakur Mill) areas here today, damaging property worth a sizeable amount of money. However, no one was injured in any of the two incidents.
While the first incident took place in Goswami Service area on the second floor of a building which housed a private insurance company office, the second incident took place in House Number 24 located behind the KFC building.
In both the incidents, teams of firefighters were rushed to the spots and the blazes were doused before those could spread to adjacent structures.
Official sources said that the first incident could be the result of a short circuit.
�We are still at the investigating stage,� sources said.
