TURA, Oct 8 - Two bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from Dilma Songittal village near Chiading under East Garo Hills today. The killings appeared to have been perpetrated yesterday, though it was only today that the police was informed of the bodies.
A police team rushed to the spot and brought the bodies to Williamnagar for further investigation.
�We recovered seven empty AK cases from the spot suggesting that the killings may have been perpetrated by a group of militants. We have identified one of those killed as Amber Marak�, said SP Davies Marak.
Amber is suspected to be the leader of a kidnapper gang who had kidnapped a resident of Songsak earlier.
