TEZPUR, July 6 � The admission against the first batch of the MBBS course in Tezpur Medical College was held on Thursday. The Superintendent of college, MC Bhattacharya while talking to this reporter informed that admission against 80 per cent seats of the total 100 seats was completed by the medical entrance examination qualifying students from across the state. �The rest of the seats will be filled up in accordance with the MCI regulation through an all-India quota,� he said informing that classes will begin from the first week of the September and for the necessary accommodation for the students, hostels are ready. It is to be stated that the a team of the Medical Council of India (MCI) recently visited the college and after a through investigation, gave it the needed recognition.
At Barpeta: Speculation regarding admission into the MBBS courses in Fakharuddin Ali Ahmed Medical College (FAAMC), Barpeta is over as the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Central Health department has given the green signal to this effect. This was informed by Dr B Chakrabarty, principal of FAAMC.
The principal informed that based on the satisfactory reports of the MCI which visited the college in May this year, the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of India vide its letter no 12012/772/2014/ME(p-ii) has cleared the process of admission for the academic year 2014-15.
