19 in fray from Sonari, Mahmora LACs

SONARI, March 23 - Altogether 19 candidates are in the fray in Charaideo district for the first phase of Assembly elections.

Tinogopal Dutta (Independent) and Mahendra Phukon (Independent) withdrew their nominations on Monday in 106- Sonari LAC and 105-Mahmora LAC respectively.

In Sonari LAC, Education Minister Sarat Borkatoky (Congress); former general secretary, All Assam Students� Union (AASU), Tapan Kumar Gogoi (BJP); Raymon Kuzur (Jana Congress); Anup Bhowmik (Janata Dal United); Monil Bokolial (LDP); Bishnu Koya (Independent) and Ratan Hemron (Independent) are in the fray.

In Mahmora LAC, Jugen Mohan (BJP); Suruj Dehingia Congress); Hiranya Konwar (AGP); Prasun Rajkonwar (Independent); Kali Baruah (LDP); Girish Phukon (Rashtriya Jana Kranti Party); Nityananda Gogoi (RCPI); Sunit Kr Mahanta (Jana Congress); Rajen Gogoi (NCP); Dibya Buragohain Gogoi (Independent); Hemen Pegu (lndependent) and Baldev Teli (Indepdndent) are in the fray.
