1,440 to be trained under rural welfare

GUWAHATI, Oct 25 - Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), a skill training-based project implemented by Markazul Ma�arif, a wing of Ajmal CSR, is tagetting a total of 1,440 beneficiaries in two years.

The project will cover three districts of Assam � Nagaon, Dhubri and Goalpara.

Markazul Ma�arif has already opened two training centres for this project � one at ARTDC, Padumpukhuri, Kapasbari, Hojai, and another at the head office of Markazul Ma�arif, Hojai.

The training centres would be fully operational from November 1 and 240 candidates will be imparted training in the first batch extending over a period of three months.

Amrit K Borah, Project Manager, ASRLMS, Govt of Assam, had visited DDU-GKY Training Centre recently and he declared that the Hostel No.3 for Girls is the best hostel he had ever seen anywhere in the country. He said that he had visited 12 states across India and done inspection for the DDU-GKY project in those states, but not seen such a beautiful hostel anywhere else.
