DERGAON, Oct 24 - With the detection of 14 new COVID-19 positive cases and discharge of 74 patients, the total number of active positive cases has decreased to 236 in Golaghat district on Friday.
With this, the cumulative cases in the district have increased to 8,677 out of which 8,426 were discharged and 98 persons found positive have died so far.
Among the deceased, 59 died of COVID-19 complications while 39 others died of other illnesses. DIPRO Papu Gogoi said among the 14 new positive cases, 9 were detected through RAT and 5 through RTPCR.
