14 militants surrender in Karbi Anglong

DIPHU, Sept 5 � In a major success for Diphu Police, as many as 14 ultras of different armed organisations surrendered with arms and ammunition here on Wednesday before the Superintendent of Police of Karbi Anglong.

The surrendered militants have been identified as Naisring Parbosa, Arek Langthasa, Manik Haflongbar, Suhit Naidingsa, Rohito Kemprai, Bidyut Langthasa and Tusi Boro of UPLF, Thongja Tokbi, Kensing Ronghang, Arun Ingti and Kamsing Rongpi of KNLA and Prabhat Senar, Rajiv Senar and Frencis Terang of KPLT.

The surrendered militant deposited one SBGL gun, one M 21 rifle, one AK 47 rifle, two 9-mm pistols, hand grenades and a large number of magazines, organisational seals, writing pads and some documents.
