128 cases in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, June 10 - As many as 12 COVID-19 patients have recovered in Nagaland, while the State reported a single case today. With the reporting of the solitary case, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the State has gone up to 128.

The number of recovered COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has now gone up to 22. The active cases in the State have been reduced to 106, stated State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.

Meanwhile, the Nagaland Government will soon conduct tests on 800 samples for COVID-19 every day. At the moment, around 170 samples are being tested per day.

Nagaland COVID-19 spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon had stated recently that once all the TrueNat machines are installed, 820 samples can be tested daily.

According to him, seven TrueNat machines have already arrived in the State, while 15 more are slated to arrive within this week.

Kikon also said that the State Government has been assisting stranded people belonging to the State, in different ways. �From the very beginning, the State Government has been taking the challenge of supporting students and working citizens outside Nagaland to look into the issues they have raised,� he added.

Kikon said that there are 238 quarantine centres across the State with over 13,000 beds.
