GUWAHATI, June 3 - The Kamrup Metro district administration today evicted 127 unhygienic and unauthorised meat and fish sellers from the footpaths. The drive was carried out at Birubari, Ulubari, Sarabhatti, Lalganesh, Udalbakra, Dhirenpara, Bhootnath, Bharalumukh, Six Mile, Barbari, etc.
During the drive, SDO (Civil) ND Patowary was attacked by miscreants with sharp weapons at Birubari.
The administration has formed two teams to continue with the drive, officials said.
