124th birth anniversary of Krishnananda Brahmachari

GOSSAIGAON, Dec 5 - The 124th birth anniversary of Srimad Swami Krishnananda Brahmachari along with Gita Jayanti Mahotsav will be celebrated at Gobinda Geeta Bhawan at Baruapara in Bhowraguri under Gossaigaon subdivision with a three-day programme from December 26 to 28.

On December 26, the programme will begin at dawn with Usha Kirton, and dharma grantha path by devotees. From 1.30 pm, a religious meeting will be held on ek-nam dharma and its importance for the good of the people.

An open meeting will be presided over by Premananda Barman, satradhikar of Gobindabhawan Geeta Satra at Baruapara. Kokrakhar MLA Rabiram Narzary will address the meet as the chief guest, while Rasik Aatoi, satradhikar of Gossaigaon Sakha Satra will address the session as special guest, and Krisha Kanta Ray of Dhorarghat will deliver a speech as appointed speaker.

In the evening, earthen lamps will be lit and floral tributes paid at the portrait of Krishnananda Brahmachari.

On December 27, naam prasanga will continue throughout the day, while on December 28, congregations of devotees will be organised.
