Centurion Puneet Mehta could add 16 runs to his overnight score of 111 runs before Roshan Alom found his timber to pick his fourth wicket and finish the innings at 268 runs
Despite a resilient 61 runs by skipper Wasikur Rahman, the home team could not capitalize on the opportunity and the first innings was wrapped up with only 195 runs on the board. Wasikur remained not out as he ran short of partners to help him. Dhruvajyoti Das provided some support with his cameo innings of 43 runs. Pacer Vikrant Kumar ripped through the side picking six wickets for 34 runs. A Chahal picked three wickets. Haryana lost one for with 12 runs in the second innings with a lead of 85 runs. Interestingly, the way the pitch has behaved on the second day, even as the visitors have a formidable lead in their second innings, Day III promises an exciting encounter.
