12 file nomination papers at Udalguri

UDALGURI, March 17 - A total of 12 candidates from 64 Panery, 69 Udalguri and 70 Mazbat legislative Assembly constituencies filed their nomination papers at the Udalguri DC office here today.

All the three candidates of Bodoland Peoples� Front ( BPF) for Panery, Udalguri and Mazbat LACs submitted their nominations in the presence of the BPF chairman Hagrama Mohilary amid a large number of supporters and party workers. Kamali Rani Basumatary from Panery, Rihon Daimari from Udalguri and Charan Boro from Mazbat LAC respectively submitted their nomination papers to the district returning officer of the ensuing Assembly election.

On the other hand, Rabindra Basumatary of United Peoples� Party (UPP) from Mazbat and Sunil Sarkar of International Voters� Party also submitted their nomination papers to contest from the 70 Mazbat LAC today.

Besides Rihon Daimari of BPF, a total of two candidates for Udalguri LAC submitted their nomination papers in the office of the district returning officer of Udalguri election district today. They are � Jaman Singh Brahma of Indian National Congress (INC) and Dilip Boro of UPP. Meanwhile Anjali Prova Daimari, an Independent candidate filed her nomination paper for Udalguri LAC yesterday.

From 64 Panery LAC, besides Kamali Rani Basumatary of BPF, five candidates filed their nomination papers today. They are � Nandaram Boro of UPP, Durga Das Boro of INC, Swarnalata Chaliha of SUCI and two Independent candidates Prabhat Das Panika and Dinanath Das.
